H-Net™ - Frequently Ask Questions:
What Is AMR? || [back to top]
Automatic Meter ReadingWhat is H-Net™?
A Wireless Automatic Meter Reading System (See P-1)What is the H-Net™ BaseStation? || [back to top]
Network Meter Record or data collector ( See P-2)What is The H-Net™ Network?
A Wireless Automatic Meter Reading System Network consisting of H-Net™ MeterSystems and H-Net™ BaseStation (See P-3)How does the Network work? || [back to top]
(See P-3) The H-Net™ Network Diagram is designed to show the complete data path. Meters at the home or place of Business transmit records to the nearest meter; we call this process (bidirectional feed forward data transfer). The network is in a constant state of transmission and receive mode pulsing minute by minute checking back and forth for self correction or error detection throughout the duration of the interval. Each meter within range transmits all records within the entire network to the receiver or BaseStation. Conversely, BaseStations receive and transmit resulting in network administer interrogation, command and control.
The enabled cellular BaseStation uploads consumption records to our Operation Center at intervals of 15 minutes or to per designated portals as required by the energy distributor.
How do you install the HNet Network? || [back to top]
Our H-Net™ AMR Wireless MeterSystem; Installation & Configuration requires:- - 110 AC power
- - A dedicated phone line. Cellar or a hi-speed Internet connection.
Note: that BaseStation installation utility pole mounting is preferred. If the preferred installation is not available the installation diagram as shown is an excellent alternative (See P-4)
- Plug meters into the meter panel at the home or place of business meter will self configure with in minutes of installation (See P-5) || [back to top]
What is the ConectiSys Operation Network Center or (CONC®) || [back to top]
The H-Net™ MeterSystem encodes accurate consumption records from the electric meter then transmits the data to an enabled cellular BaseStation that uploads consumption records to our Operation Center (CONC®) at intervals of 15 minutes, 24/7. The CONC downloads Network records to the achieve servers for data dissemination (See P-6)Data Storage - Historical records will be held in parallel by reliable data storage expert with staff onsite 24/7 insuring consumer services, reducing liability, increasing security and adding valued services at reduced cost. Additionally, Energy Distributors and Service Providers may require that meter records are received in parallel or in some cases exclusively.
What is the Works? || [back to top]
HNet is capable of reading power, gas and water. We call it the Works; all receivers must be on the same frequency this allows meters or other devices to send data to the H-Net™ Electrical Meter at the panel in this case the H-Net meter is designed to act like a BaseStation. Our AMR network will report multiple device records from the (LAN) to the (WAN) the Network BaseStation will upload the encrypted records to the pre designated portal by phone, cellular modem or Internet connection (See P-7)
What is a LAN?
A local area network; as it applies to H-Net™ the LAN is wirelessWhat is a WAN?
A wide area network; as it applies to H-Net™ the WAN is wirelessWhy is the H-Net™ Network Bi-Directional?
The two way communications allows for command and controls such as power disconnect, software updates, meter tempering alerts and network interrogation to name a few. What is the purpose of the Demonstration Platform? || [back to top]
The H-Net mobile demonstration platform a working model that displays live meter data which offers customers an opportunity to evaluate our MeterSystem and Network capabilities at their place of business (See P-8)What is a Dashboard?
Our display Dashboard is configured on a notebook for data displays when performing mobile demonstrations as shown in part (See P-8)What is a data adaptor and who does it apply?
Our Network adaptor is the hand shake between the HNet network and the Utility for data capture and dissemination as shown in part (See P-6)SmartPlug - Frequently Ask Question:
